All true , but bro s 160 was not what you’d call standard factory. Only slight oil came from lower front pushrod tube and clutch cable above cases (they all do that!). Even amongst a gang of jap 750/900 four riders he hung around with it was somewhat revered as a ‘fast bike’. The Hyde clutch meant on gear changes the revs didn’t drop....the bike just jumped forward. But yes it was a lot of work to keep it on song in spite of Rita! 35mpg and a need for 5 star leaded or additives (oversized valves, angles, and domed pistons were burn critical) in later years didn’t make it very economic either!

Andy - I was surprised when Maz said you had a Street Triple as it fits me perfectly and you're a wee bit taller than me The Speed makes far more sense.

I had a sit on it yesterday and can get both balls of my feet down or flat footed on one side. It’s so light I can get away with it. I’ve just paid a kings ransom for my 2020 street with all the toys so it’ll be a couple of years.

I was a bit disappointed with the 890 dash - it doesn’t even have the same info as the dash on the 390. I like lots of info. No idea why, just do.

Everything I hear about the 890 is good and the write ups are good too. Sounds like it’s a brilliant bike.

Servicing costs will be the decider for me. I didn’t do a deep dive on the street and it has a big service at year 2 or 3 that is over a grand which is a bit cheeky. Must be taking a leaf out of the Buell book of maintainance

Sorry, the Nuda is a keeper. It's the most fun bike I have. Ironically, my X1 is the slowest and worst handling modern bike I own, but it's the one I'm in love with If I had to sell my bikes, the Buells would be last to go.

For what its worth that looks a very nice bike and it doesn't sound that unreasonable, good look to your mate, I hope he gets what he wants for it.
