Cheers Greame, they all appear to be from america/germany. are these a safe bet or do you end up getting stung with import tax etc.

its stuff like this in the notes that puts me off :?

International delivery - items may be subject to customs processing depending on the item's declared value.
Sellers set the item's declared value and must comply with customs declaration laws.
As the buyer, you should be aware of possible:
- delays from customs inspection.
- import duties and taxes which buyers must pay.
- brokerage fees payable at the point of delivery.
Your country's customs office can offer more details, or visit eBay's page on international trade.

Welcome to the true pain of Buell ownership, buying from Germany should not pick up additional customs charges (In Europe I think local taxes are paid at the point of sale). Buying from the US is another matter entirely, you will pick up the duty (think in terms of about a third/ half of the value) + admin charges from everyone involved (admin charges are the same, not dependant on cost of item shipped - buying small items can appear even more expensive because of this) , this all typically puts about an extra 50% onto the price. Be aware.
So dont let buying form Germany put you off and only buy from the US if it cannot be found anywhere else.

n.b. there are some ways to duck and dive your way through customs (ie low declared value, etc....) but experience tells me that American sellers are typically not prepared to play the game with customs and usually get quite offended that you've asked. Ho hum

in that case, plan b was to find a local graphics company and get them carbon wrapped.

might just save a lot of time and hassle.

Standard 'careful, contents may be hot' type statement.

International delivery - items may be subject to customs processing depending on the item's declared value. - Depending on the country purchased from (Typically - US/ yes, Europe, china - No)
Sellers set the item's declared value and must comply with customs declaration laws. - This is why Americans do not like to play the game, they would be liable
As the buyer, you should be aware of possible:
- delays from customs inspection. - typically a few days, normal
- import duties and taxes which buyers must pay. - If qualify (i.e. above a certain value normally) cost as per previous post
- brokerage fees payable at the point of delivery. - Admin fees, as per previous post
Your country's customs office can offer more details, or visit eBay's page on international trade.

All honesty, the German ones are probably near the same price you will end up paying to get it wrapped, in that case I would probably go with real carbon

I bought one from ff carbon . de but wasn't happy with the fit so I didn't fit it. But I am a perfectionist about my bikes. If you can source one buy one from ilmberger. Their stuff is superb. Though you will pay through the nose
