Hi All,

Wanting to put the rear foot-peg hangers back on the CR, I am having a bit of an issue getting hold of the socket hex screws that bolt them on. Any one have 4 laying around, I believe they are 3/8-16 x 1 UNC.
Or point me in the right direction.....UK I hope.

Many thanks,

Andy

Hi there,

I think you need some half inch spacers to go with them.

10-24 1/4 5/16 3/8 UNC Socket Cap Head Screws A2 Stainless Steel Imperial Bolts there are plenty, type that in Ebay
Use stainless & copper grease them in. makes them easy to get back out.

My original ones don't need spacers but the set that came with luggage do.

FYI :)

Hi,

Thank you, got the 1in long 3/8 in A2. Always use the copper grease. Anyhow they fit just right, no spacers straight in. The hanger casting is thick in the area the bolts pass through.

Job done, my son will be happy now!

Nice one,

Did you try those 3/8ths bolts in the front caliper mounts by any chance?

I'm about to order some and I can't get my head round imperial bolt sizes.

Thanks Paul

They're the same, I once lost a front caliper bolt on the road (don't ask :oooops: ) and stuck one of the rear hanger bolts in its place.

That's very good of you, I can return the favour if you need any casing bolts in stainless?

Thanks Paul

Be very careful you don't get fobbed off with Whitworth bolts if you're after UNC. They will fit but the angle at the thread root is different by a few degrees.
