Is "tail tidy" a.k.a. "cheese grater eliminator mod"?
Try this
and scroll down past all the other nifty items offered (modified stock exhaust, heat barriers under seat and airbox...). Cost is $150 with exchange of your tail section. Odie is a one-man operation, so he can be accommodating, but also backed up with work at times.
Many attack the beast as a diy, with a Dremel tool and/or grinder. Take Courage.

he is a helicopter test pilot in his day job, as I understand, so the Buell trade is his second gig. and he has a family. a real uber-Bueller, I guess.

I have this one on my bike.http://www.trojan-horse.co.uk/prods/181.html
Or you can attack your own or buy one on the bay and have a go at that instead. They tend to go from £30 upwards.

Somebody posted a multi purpose one here recently for about £20 or £30? I made my own by bending a piece of alloy I found kicking about and drilling some holes in it. Very easy.
Hang on found the original link.
