Tragic indeed, to be so defeated by social pressures! :?

I must be on a different planet.....and no disrespect.....but several hours ago l wouldn’t even have recognised the name Caroline Flack. She was just a woman from programs l don’t watch who featured in the tabloids from time to time! :? RIP now. :coat:

I don't know who she was as I don't watch tv much, especially this reality crap that seems to be all the rage these days. RIP. I see she is involved in a court case about assaulting her boyfriend, but he doesn't want any action taken. Must be hard for him to deal with this.

Max Von Sydow

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-51803195

From Ming the Merciless, the Exorcist, Star Wars, being Ernst Blofeld and a lead role in The Seventh Seal (which we all have to acknowledge as possibly the greatest film ever, even if you've never seen it). Every character a role-model

He even did something called 'Game of Thrones' but I am not sure what that is.

- ignoring his acting abilities and diversity of role, he also had a superb name. RIP Max. Max Von Sydow.

RIP Max, one of my favourite actors, from an excellent lead as Emperor Ming, to just quietly doing jhis supporting roles, like the ice cool assassin in Three Days of the Condor! ;)

He had a tremendous range of characters over the decades and once he earned his place, he only took roles he found thought-provoking and engaging, not just whatever paid. Current actors could learn much from him as they all pretty much are unconvincing in their roles. Haven't seen 7th Seal in decades myself and would like to again.

Not to be flippant about anyone's death, but I am sick of reading about someone who "passed", rather than 'passed away', generally croaked, or "passed to the other side". Simply "passed". It seems a very recent affectation - irritates me no end.

'Passing' should be reserved for over-taking cars, or the elimination marbles that you're dog swallowed - when the vet asks. Or anyone else asks, if they are that weird to be interested in your dogs bowels and his eating accidents.

It is probably just me...
