Been following this on the news
Now the Army has been involved, with a bit of luck, they will find the culprits and view them as a "potential terrorist threat"...pump a couple of rounds into them...job done!
These drones are becoming a REAL problem and the government are (at last) preparing a more strict policy and legislation towards them and their operators....horses and stable doors

JFK, Dulles, LAX and George Bush in Houston have used a laser targeting system in recent years. Supposedly takes about 5 seconds to burn a hole into its target to bring it down.

I know very little about it but have read that it uses technology handed down from the Gruman F-14's ability to track other objects simultaneously and even engage them. It sounds plausible but also far fetched at the same time. The Gruman target acquisition system was created nearly 50 years ago by Hughes. I'd imagine with miniaturization and processing power leaps, it could be done. So I don't know if any of what I read had any truth to it.

Unfortunately the word drone covers ALL unmanned aerial vehicles, so anybody that flies a radio controlled model helicopter or airplane will be affected by whatever rules and regulations are brought in by the Government the CAA, and the BMFA.
Drone operators tend to be solo, individual, persons and seldom belong to a radio controlled model club, with a small air field to fly from and therefore don’t tend to abide by any rules and regulations if they are even aware of them.

I see the Dutch Police where using trained eagles recently to take out drones, they say it could be some environmentalist of the tree hugging type that are responsible , as already mentioned gate shut hoss long gone.

What I don't understand is why there is STILL no footage of the fecking thing from any of the thousands of mobile phones or airport security cameras...or have I missed it?
