There’s loads of stuff floating around so it’s difficult to know what to believe. We know a few folk working in various medical locations and fields - what the consensus seems to be is that the wards arent as full as they could be but those in them are in a pretty shit state.

There’s also plenty of info about how poorly ‘survivors’ of COVID are doing with thick blood and failing organs. Not nice or good news.

I personally know of five coworkers/friends who have died from COVID. It’s true that they all had underlying conditions but all of them probably would have lived for many years if the Rona hadn’t got them.

It’s a tough one and I’m glad I’m not making the decisions - it feels like the country is slipping into recession. Just before I retire too, bugger - I know, selfish ;) Lots of folk like me I’m sure and many much worse of and at the start of their career journey. Without doubt there’s going to be tough times ahead.

I think we need to be careful in what we believe and what we disbelieve - common sense need to be used. But what’s common sense? I guess we need to keep chilled and try not to get too excited...

I finally got the call last night to go back to work today! Shame as l haven’t finished my DIY jobs at home yet. :sad1:

I could have said no, and the shit always seems to happen on a Friday, but the employment agency have been very good to me over the Lockdown and what goes around, etc. I like to maintain my image as the ‘Red Adair’ of their drivers! Will do all the crap no-one else turns up for! lOl

So today armed with my usual PPE and face mask, l pick up a preloaded van......with next to no oil on the dip stick! Advised to drive to fleet service agent who will top it up, but l can’t find them and no-one’s heard of them. Van Fuel card won’t pay for oil so l end up paying £15 of my own for a litre of 5/30 Sinthetic! 40 mins late getting on route, but only 6 drop offs round Glos/Wilts. Thankfully van is a Citroen Relay, gutless at speed, but ok to drive with a much better seat than the Sprinter. There’s also a decent entertainment unit with a CD slot, so l tuned in to LBC’s James ‘Dreary’ O’Brien again. Today’s topical conversation was ‘face masks’. lOl

It’s like l’ve never been away!

modern companies stripped to the bone on assist and supplies , at times struggle to get light bulbs ,screen wash , advice is to buy it on route and get recipe and put it on expenses , being a 40ft artic hgv not the easiest thing to park up anywhere without causing problems or find supplier of 24 volt bulbs , so tend to acquire a few spares from office when they are available and save for future date / normally when its pissing down of rain :headbang:

I could possibly help you out there....what's the recipe for?
Low fat to get rid of fat fingers or more carrots to help with the eyesight
Apparently fish is said to be brain food but you may not suit a pescetarian diet

:yt: :rotfl: the large fat fingers don't help, I do wear glasses, and I am on a pescetarian diet ,
but none of which can help with almost 60 years of dyslexia and auto correct spelling on word , receipt not recipe Lol

Happened to notice a commercial aircraft do a strange u turn out over the Celtic Sea on my Flightradar this morning. Later realised it was Tui holidays flight ftom Manchester to Lanzarote. It transpires they made an announcement to cancel holidays to Spain. Good enough for the bleating feckers who in their words "deserve a holiday".

Jesus, listen to yourselves, risk averse old fuckers just takin` up room on an otherwise over populated planet.
Y`all need to do the decent thing and make room ;)

If we do not risk, we do not live and there is no utility in that, may as well kill off the entire species.....Actually not a bad idea that, give the species who actually want to live a chance.....

Fucking poofs.

Err that's just it, we do want to live. Unlike the selfish tossers who have no consideration for the future of our species.
