I wonder if anyone else on here will admit to applying for Universal Credit due to the current Lockdown? :?

I decided to exercise my right as an old git without a PC by applying for UC by phone. lOl Three calls later and another phone meeting to come, l was told that my first payment will be In January next year, but

........l can ask for a sub next week in the form of a loan! How kind? Maybe l should declare myself bankrupt to the tune of 10 billion and ask for a government bailout!

On Monday I’ll tackle the council tax office. ;)

I’m just really saddened that you can still afford an internet connection.

I can’t, that’s why l write this on a friends iPad.

I may be driving again Tuesday so l’ll probably get nowt for the week l had no work, or council tax if the discount is not retrospective. The thing with agency work is that you don’t know you are unemployed until you can say; ‘‘that was the week that was’. :?

Not saying that business owners like you Maz are not having a tougher time. Just doing a social commentary here. :sad1:

An interesting legal judgement in Portugal regarding the accuracy of the PCR tests:
Said the ruling, dated November 11: “In view of current scientific evidence, this test shows itself to be unable to determine beyond reasonable doubt that such positivity corresponds, in fact, to the infection of a person by the SARS-CoV-2 virus”.

Indeed, the test has always been unreliable because it can pick up the virus in your system even if the virus left 6 months previous, it is a poor test, yet we are not told that....Seems it is not in our own interests  T Cell response is not widely understood by the scientific community, but they do know that it chops up the virus and dispatched it to the glands to dispose of, because the T cells have been doing this with other Corona virus since forever!

The whole way in which the Govt. has dealt with this and the information from the so called experts is not entirely truthful and they have manipulated the figures to manipulate us....I have no idea why and do not subscribe to conspiracy theories, having debunked a few in my time....I really think it is the fact that a major over reaction to a disease that is not that lethal to the majority population has made them paint the room and they are all stood in the corner, working out just how the fuck they get out of the room.

Fucking idiots.....And plenty of scientists that are more qualified that Witty and his bum chum that are trying to call the Govt. out, yet MSM won`t give them airtime!

In conclusion......It is all bollocks, don`t get me wrong Covid kills people, but then so does seasonal flu and usually more that covid in a bad year!

Nice one, Att. I have no real clue about all this so am in the hands of fate and applying my own degree of what I consider to be common sense.

You pays your money and takes your chance :)

Good luck all - let battle commence :yup:

Sticking to my principles and applying for benefits by phone has paid dividends. I spoke to some kind people who gave me some free advice l would have missed by going online. ;)

Finally got through to one of my pensions administrators who have been working from home (blame it all on Covid). Roll on retirement if the sums add up. Then l can get down to some serious work! lOl

How would you spend a pension lump sum?

Some critical spares to keep an XB roadworthy, or another XB?

A new bike to spread and so reduce the mileage on your old Buell?

A once in a lifetime trip to.....oh shit Covid X

A new Naim XS or Supernait amplifier?

A Koetsu Urushi MC cartridge?

Service, 're-cap' and 're-belt' all your old bits of hi-fi so they can give another 20 years service?

A cuddly toy? lOl

With luck most of the above? 8-)
