My Mother was admitted to hospital with a relatively minor unconnected matter, and caught Covid whilst in their care. That was harrowing enough, but we are still trying (every feckin day) to get someone to sign a scrap of paper for her body to be released to the undertaker. 11 days and counting. Disgraceful.

This is something I understand fully...when my mother passed (04 Dec 2016) we had to wait until 28th to get her released
Buried her on the 3rd Jan, and we were lucky? there as we had to get issues sorted as my brother had to have a BIG cancer operation on the 5th
I can only imagine the shit and heartbreak Covid has added to what are already difficult times for folk
Stay strong

I`ve just had a "Miss"erable girlfriend for the last couple of weeks whilst she waits for news of her vaccine appointment as she is in the next group .
She spent 45mins on the phone to her surgery asking repeatedly if she was in this group as she is a type one brittle diabetic with kidney and eye problems. Computer says no , computer says no! Eventually and after threats to forward the problem to the local MP the answer came that "o yes you are on the list".
If your underlying health problems are dealt with by certain specialists in your hospital then you may not show up on your local GP list who are dealing with the vaccine .
This is in Wales .
Jab next Friday.

I must say that my experience with the vivid jab was excellent. I got a text on Thursday from my GP hub, booked for Friday. Turned up at the vac centre & it was like a well oiled military operation. 25 minutes from entering the car park to leaving that's with the mandatory 15 min wait after the injection. Had the phizer vaccine & felt a bit shit today, apparently it's the worst one for side effects. But glad it's done nonetheless. Thanks NHS.x

I’ve written strong and wordy (typical of me) letters to both mine and her GP as my partner is disabled and quite vulnerable for a number of reasons, but she has been told by a consultant that she is not at risk. If l catch it she will almost certainly get it and visa versa. l can’t see how we could manage as her visiting professional carers would not be allowed to do the lifting required and we don’t have the equipment (another long story  ). In spite of our situation we do not appear to be listed for early vaccination. Next week her children go back to school. :headbang: Time to kick that bloody computer wherever it sits!
