Went food shopping today, as we don`t stockpile and needed seom fresh supplies.....I felt a bit rough after last night in the pub, so once I showered and up, dog walked it was 15:00.

I said to the current wife that we may be surprised by what we find out there, either bedlam or it could be surprisingly quiet, we won`t know until we go into battle lOl

Quietest ever Saturday Shop and got all we needed including wine and beer
Light traffic and it was a pleasure, chilled and friendly, a most pleasant experience :o

Obviously there was no toilet roll, but we stopped wiping our arses two weeks ago.

Had a mate round to help drink the red wine i`d panic bought tonight and decided to have another saturday night next wednesday to help him ease his conscience for panic buying red wine too.
Social distancing was practiced at all times.

Obviously we are all staying at home but.........

Tescos, good, occasionally busy later.
Sainsburys, moderate to good, sale on corn flakes.
Asda, slight to moderate, heavy crowds by evening.
Marks and Spencers and Co-Op, fair.
Waitrose fair to moderate, spillage in aisle 7.
Lidl, rough at first, moderate later.

And that's the end of the Shopping Forecast.

Queued to get into Waitrose. Strung out at 3m intervals with a freshly sanitised trolley and only let in in controlled numbers to preserve space inside. This was a new regime to protect staff from crowding shoppers. Working quite well. I also wore my mask, to be a little more sure, to be a little more sure! lOl

I get the nagging feeling though that those who selfishly panic bought then stockpiled for two weeks previously are now sitting pretty at the lowest risk. Maybe poetic justice will catch up with them, but don’t count on it. Sod’s law many good people who have to go out may die. :sad1:
