The Melbourne F1 GP looks to be cancelled as members of two teams have been diagnosed positive for covid 19. To be honest I'd cancel the full season just to be on the safe side ;) . As well as all stadium sports for the next 12 months and the Olympics next year. Moto GP is not looking good as well for the rest of the season. Can't be to careful. ;)

I wonder if the Manx folk will be welcoming thousands of visitors this year for the TT, Southern 100 and Manx?

The city of Austin (COTA) has banned lots of travel forms into it's city limits as of yesterday. Schools and universities shut down, large gathering bans, people working at home if possible and large police presence to break up large crowds... pretty much the whole city is shut down. So COTA is rescheduled to November which is better anyway as it won't be 40 deg C then.

Where I live, everything is shut down except people's workplaces. Lots of major events cancelled and concerts and such as well, Livestock Show and Rodeo which is a 19 day event is done for and is the German heritage festival in my town. All schools are shut down and retail shops are 50% staffed.

The people themselves created the panic and shortages at the stores. There never was going to be a shortage if people just went about business as usual, now there is one and it's the people's fault, not that there was ever a supply issue. But we've learned just how selfish and self-important everyone is in this day and age and that you absolutely can't trust anyone.

On the other hand, the wife is worried about people's behaviors as things are getting out of hand. She asked me, "how much ammo do we have?" I said 500 in .45, 1200 in 9mm and about 40 boxes of shot shells, so we're probably a little light. Picked up another 1000 in 9mm on the way home. I'm a firm believer that if you have lots of ammo, you'll never run out of food. Take that how you want to see it. But I do have access to whole cows should holding up my neighbors be deemed socially unacceptable.

They say anything with at least 70% alcohol will keep the germs away. Just make sure there's enough 140 proof stuff for everyone on the island and all will be well.

Lots of ammo = lots of food. I like your thinking. I can just see the price of subsonic .22LR rocketing now lOl

I reckon most people secretly want to know what human flesh tastes like, especially as it probably tastes like Pork, so if it does, then we could have bacon if we cure it. :yup:

Well, I taste my wife every chance I get. Does that count?

But you may be right. I wouldn't hesitate to eat another human if need be. I've tried all kinds of bugs and other strange things on trips to central America and parts of Asia, just to say I did it. Some not too bad. But if I can stomach the stuff that was gross, human flesh would be easy. I wonder if there's a youtube video showing how to dress one out...
