Prior experiences have left me with a bitter disrespect for most garage employees.

With my advancing years, my suggestion of installing a garage lift in my barn has fallen (as no doubt a vehicle wrongly loaded on a 2 post would) on Mrs Dusty’s deaf uns.

So, my advice to all, is to leave your dashcam operational when taking your motor to a dealer.

The van went for Its first MOT this week. When I collected it, I noticed two things.

Whilst it now had a MOT it also had a “major” failure attached to it. Checking the webcam, the tester dropped the headlight beam with the buttons on the dashboard, but that did not appear to appease him, so he immediately altered them with a hex driver that took less than a minute. And that constituted a major failure that is permanently on record?

My electrically folding mirrors, that had been working perfectly before, were both #ucked. Checking the dashcam again, I watched in disbelief as the mechanics (cannot get my head around technician even though they charge more) manually wrenched the mirrors in and then when they had finished back out again. Took me hours the following day to sort it.

Bastards the lot of them. Ooooohhhhhh I was cross :sad1:

depending on the size of the Garage , ( one man band or main dealer ) I would of thought a copy of video to the manager should of had some results  if not then a copy to VOSA to highlight the bad practices at that testing station
