I think the Wong’s were in ‘The Wonderers’, as were the ‘pricks with ears’ , but they may have been stood around with funny hats in that other film! lOl

I bow to your superior knowledge of trivia, Edd (and just checked on International Movie Database lOl ) :worthy:

WARRIORS.....come out to play

I went to the pictures to see this, it was banned in many cinemas at the time :old:

Yes l remember it being quite exiting on the big screen at that time in my youth. Apparently 3 people died during clashes of rival gangs on the way home from cinemas in the US, but it now looks pretty tame by today’s standards and even quite theatrical. ;)

Did anyone here remember the book on the life of ‘Nicky Cruze’. The true story about a Hispanic boy growing up in NY? Much scarier than the fiction!

Lots of films to see yet if you have the time to waste! I just couldn’t get into some like ‘Knives Out’ which should be good because the leading cast makes it, but a bit wordy and intense? I just want to be entertained. I’d rather watch Meet the Fokkers,....parents,....children! lOl

Others l enjoyed because they just seemed to flow; ’Gurnsey Literary and Potatoe Peel Pie Society’,
‘The Shape of Water’, ‘Midnight in Paris’ (from a few years ago), Parasite, Tolken, Passengers, The Immitation Game’, Allied, The Green Hornet, Get Smart (a very good take off the original TV show), ‘Hempstead’ and ‘Finding your Feet’ (tame but charming, also for the London settings).

Life at the moment is like a long hail flight where you choose a second best form of entertainment just to pass the time until you get back to being able to do what you really want to ☹️

Once Were Warriors (1994) is a very powerful film. Nothing to do with bikes, but still good.

contagion Released in 2011, lots of key words and situations that sound very familiar to our situation at the moment .

Hi Edd,
Totally subjective but I saw it when it was at the flicks & wouldn't lose any sleep if I never saw it again. I have a digital copy & haven't watched it since, Interstellar on the other hand, I have, a couple of times as that involved me in some interesting concepts, unlike Ad Astra which was a bit of a non event.
