If we're going down the line of removing statues because it offends one beliefs regarding slavery

How long will Wilberforce stand in Hull

ps
Farmers in this country having to import labour from abroad to pick crops .
It’s got to the stage that some people don't even wash their own cars now, they pay a few quid £3-£5 for a group of foreign workers to wash it for them, whilst they have a coffee and chat on mobile phone

Yes, I partake in all of that cheap stuff, I'd be a fool not to & I don't feel guilty I'm afraid.
Farmers get people from abroad 'cause British people won't do that work. I've done it in the past & it's really shit work. If foreign people want to do it that's fine by me.
I get my car washed at those pop up car washes & think I'm doing them a favour by taking it there, usually tip them a couple of quid as well as they do a great job. I'm usually listening to music while they do it.
If anyone can explain what's wrong with any of that I'd be more than happy to listen.
Have a nice day folks. JB

Which do you think benefits the employee most, going to a one person drive through car wash for £5 or to a hand wash staffed by ten people for £5? One is paying a minimum wage, the other a pittance. As for modern slavery, have a look at where cobalt for batteries comes from https://www.ft.com/content/c6909812-9ce ... 640c9feebb

Is that a trick question?
Which is being paid the pittance?
Anyway whichever, I still think 10 people working (whatever they're being paid & I'm also assuming they chose to do it), at a car wash is 10 people not rioting or pulling down statues.
The car wash round my way is run & staffed by what look like local guys, not a foreign accent to be heard and they all seem happy enough to me. Maybe employment offers more than just money to them, like self worth? I don't know, I'm just saying. JB.

Aren't we all slaves? Slaves to our almighty currency? Government? Everything we own?

Been working five 10s the whole time this pandemic bollocks has been going on and come home to everything needing fixed lately. Seems like everything in the house is starting to break. And all the pets needing care and attention? Yard work. And now as a slave, all my hard work is going to be taken away to pay for everyone sitting on their asses at home.

We're all slaves and of many colors.

I agree this is something most of us are guilty of. I do my part by not buying Apple products and other cheap shit from China if I can help it. It's getting more and more difficult to find alternatives as time marches on.

China produce 80% of the Worlds pharma.....They also own ports all around the world, particularly Europe, they have just about got us cornered.....Some say it is because they are positioning themselves for WW3, others say it will never happen.

Me, I care not a fuck.

Yeah, I've heard of it & seen programmes about it but never really come across it myself, bit like corona virus.
