Current ride: A black one
Location: Wales. The land of dragons, welshcakes and full reservoirs.
Whilst the commemorations this year will be dramatically reduced, unless you live along the South Coast and might be lucky in seeing some of The Historical Flight, some of the stories of the men who took part are truly remarkable.

None more so than the last survivor Pilot Officer John Hemmingway

I had always wanted to see a Spitfire fly, so went to Duxford several years ago, and was delightfully overwhelmed with the large number of aircraft that took part.

Line up this year included 17 Spits, 3 Hurricanes, 3 Mustangs, 2 Harvards...
Duxford always puts on a great show, culminating in what they call a balboa finale; basically everything that's already flown during the day gets in the air again simultaneously for a massed flypast... :worthy:
