My father treated us to another Classic FM concert at the Albert Hall tonight (Tuesday evening). On the way there, I treated him to a visit to the Ace Cafe for the first time in his life! lOl He was impressed by the quality of the food and service. ;)

Any road up, if you want to hear the Albert Hall performances tune into Classic FM tonight (Weds eve 24th) at 8pm. The rendition of ‘The Lark Ascending’ by solo violinist Jennifer Pike was one of the most spellbinding you will hear! She should play more towards 9pm if the order of play is the same (they don’t replay the 20 min intermission). ;)

IMO not as good as "Break and enter" (Music for the jilted generation) or "Medusa's path" (Always outnumbered never outgunned)

One thing you notice driving around London regularly are the pretty urban hip hot (or is that hip hop?)radio channels the city enjoys. :yup: Not all of them official. Lots of trance-synth-booty-bouncy rappy-reggie sort of stuff lOl Goes well with carving through black cabs around Marble Arch! ;)
In 'Nottin 'ill Gate' I did crave a little light relief like a channel that played a bit of Hawkwind, but hey! that would be stretching things for most people! :old:

Even Radio 1 can sound a bit tame by comparison with those cool London stations, not that l listen to that much anymore.

Another thing you notice is that as you drive towards the west country the radio stations become more bland!
