Sorry, was just thinking out loud ......unless you have a cush drive in the rear wheel, that chain is gonna trash the tranny big time.....although I'm guessing in that chassis the Buell engine will never see its true potential......just wish you builders of 'fashion' bikes would stick to using ordinary H-D motors instead of wasting an engine developed for a performance sports bike

I'm currently building a hardtail, with a 1200 sportster engine in it - not from a Buell - and I was advised by several people that a chain would be better than a belt, due to it being a hardtail a belt would be more likely to snap, although that is for the sake of the belt/chain - not the tranny.
