ive had a scout around and got some cool advice already without even asking a newbie Q. as yet :D

i dont own a buell yet "grrr" but saving like a madman so maybe by the end of the year this will have changed.

havnt decided if it will be the xb12scg (yes i am a short ass) or the uly yet and prob wont know till i have the money and go for test ride but thats something to look forward too.

anyhow i just thought id pop in and say hello from weymouth

lol if only i had the extra R in me surname :(

i tend to fit and feel much more confident on the smaller race/street bikes .. but i had a go on my uncles duke multistrada and the ride and position was quite nice .. my toss up really is tourer (ish) or not :)

hmm the uly's no taller than a duke multistrada is it? .. im pretty sure i'll opt for a cg anyways 8-)

Dockgate 20, the HD/Buell dealer in Southampton. There are evening meets there one Wednesday (I won't guess which one, there's a thread elsewhere) each month.

For touring-ish, maybe look for an STT or a 12Ss. More fuel capacity than the Scg, good touring seat option (that is a wee bit lower than standard). But you will only know if you try them.

:) ta all .. i will come to meet but only when im riding a buell .. ive not gone for test ride yet as i know i'll love the bike and dont have the cash as yet :( .. i did how ever go and sit on few at the weekend.

the uly was ok and i touched ground (koff) just , but then i sat on a cg .. i really wished i hadnt! it felt so right .. now all i can do is think about how i can save more money to get the bike sooner ... but i cant :( grrr

Hi and welcome.

Top tip, BEFORE you get the Buell go to a meet without it, incognito, check 'em out first. Cos the second you turn up ON a Buell there's no turning back, they'll have spotted ya and reeled ya in :lol:
