I am the proud owner of an S1 in Black with sub 2,000 miles , been stored for quite a while and needs carefully bringing back to life .. Will need lots of advice on various bits but all in all she's totally original and in pretty good nick. Hoping to get the fuel lines swilled out and a new battery soon , then we can take it from there .. Please be patient with me

If it's totally original, be prepared to spend a load of dosh!

How much will you spend? Tough to call - I guess you need to make a call on what needs doing and what would be nice to do. You can end up spending more than the cost of a new bike if you're not careful, and not have it fully how you want it. Trust me, I know :D

I'm no expert but my advice would be to take it to Maz and have a chat through your options.

Hello and welcome, tubers rule :yup:

some of the upgrades touted are needed, some are nice to haves and some are personal taste. Unless Uber confident with your spannering skills (even if you are, do lots of research as Buells are a funny beast), I recommend getting it up to MAZ for the waking up after years of storage and the needed upgrades.

I take on what the consensus is but she is bog standard which is my preference, no corrosion anywhere so I’ll do the basics , carb service and clean along with tank and lines , new battery , tyres , and a good service . Luckily it has had a lot of recalls completed in the past 9 I think so fingers crossed
