-----------------------------------------------------
It’s been extended from 15 to 16 days to allow for an extra free day which we’ll spend with Timo
*, who’s based in Turku, Finland.
All our accommodation, at 13 different locations, has been booked and we’ve also booked the ferry crossing between Finland and Sweden on Thursday 9th July.
Our ‘door to door’ mileage works out at a minimum of 4,185, which is an average of 300 miles per day, based on riding 14 days. We’ll have 2 free days within the total of 16, one near the
Nordkapp, Friday 3rd July and one with Timo, Wednesday 8th July.
* See pictures below, UKBEG member, Timo Närä, visited the UK in July 2008 on his XB9S during a European tour and was presented with the long distance award at Em’s Day, 19-07-08. Timo also rode with us in Norway and Sweden during the UKBEG Buell Polarsirkel
Challenge which took place during May 2011 and raised £1,102.50 for Em’s Charity. Although Timo’s Buell broke its belt in the ’middle of nowhere’ in Sweden and it was very cold at the Arctic Circle, it was a fantastic adventure and one of the most memorable two-wheeled tours we’ve ever undertaken.
We hope this year’s UKBEG Buell
Challenge raises a similar amount for Em’s Charity and proves to be just as memorable
