Following the success of 2008 and 2009 Cumbria Weekends, we've decided to do the same again in 2010 :P...

The UKBEG Cumbria Weekend takes place between Friday 11th and Sunday 13th June 2010, staying 2 nights (Friday & Saturday) at either Brotherswater or Kirkstone Pass in Patterdale, which are just 3 miles apart.

The Sykeside Camping Park and Brotherswater Inn offer camping, B&B accommodation and several bunkhouses.
Location details: here
Note: Jane and I have already booked our room at the Brotherswater Inn.

The Kirkstone Pass Inn offers B&B accommodation and a bunkhouse.
Location details: here

If you would like to attend please book direct with the location of your choice. There are a limited number of rooms available so you're advised to book sooner rather than later.

Just booked a room at the Brotherswater Inn for the Friday and Saturday night. :D
It's a twin room so if anyone wants to share let me know.

Hi All

I think that I just booked the last four beds at Sykeside

2 rooms of 2 in the bunkhouse was all I could get ... but only £14 pp pn

Planning to arrive sometime on Friday - depending on weather as we are planning a long and convoluted route to have a play on some differnt roads

Many speed cameras that way?

see you at the bar

Thanks for booking :yup:...

There are fixed speed camera's in the Lake District but they're well signed so as long as you're paying attention you shouldn't get caught out.

I'm not sure about mobile units. I've seen them on the main routes but I don't think I've ever seen any in the hills and mountains.

It's almost impossible to speed in the summer anyway because of all the tourists.

Any idea how many are going and where they're staying? Magz comes back from offshore on the Friday and we are thinking of driving down on the Saturday to see folk and have a few beers - no bikes mind, so you won't be able to gaze with adoration at my Duke

Clive - those that I know about are myself, Jane, Norrie and 'Red Buell' plus 3 friends. We're all booked in at the Brotherswater Inn/Bunkhouse.

Plenty of people have asked me about this Cumbria weekend but I don't think many have actually booked.

This is about 8 miles from kirkstone pass so not too removed and are good friends of mine and Rick. The food is amazing, you will get a great welcome and they are bike friendly too. They might have some vacancies ;)

We'd only be coming down in the car for a few pints with the troops so would like to be close so neither of us have to drive - boring I know but we're just gonna be there for the beer and a chat :D
