Yamaha Racing have confirmed they will be sending a Moto GP M1 from Italy for eight-times World Champion Phil Read and F750 World Champion Steve Baker to ride at the Donington Classic Festival celebrating Yamaha's Racing History.

The bike will be on display in the paddock and out on track both Saturday and Sunday in the Yamaha Classic Racing Team Parades.

The M1 Yamaha will be joining the Classic Racing Team (YCRT) at the Donington Park Classic Festival thanks to generous support from Yamaha UK and Donington Park circuit.

Ferry Brouwer’s YCRT will be bringing eighteen bikes to Donington including the 1968 125cc and 250cc two strokes fours, the likes of which were ridden by Phil Read and Bill Ivy. More recent additions to the YCRT display will appeal to the 4-stroke fans and include four OW01’s, OU45, FZR750 and Haga’a OW7L

BBC commentator Steve Parrish is having a weekend off from his Moto GP duties to appear alongside Phil Read, Steve Baker and the rest of the YCRT riders.

Works Yamaha machinery ridden by World Champions and the brilliant Donington Park track, does it get any better than that?

Check the CRMC website regularly for more updates and all the latest news.
