UKBEG members may be interested in this 5 day trip to the Ardennes and Eifel Mountains, Monday 24th to Friday 28th June. Great roads and scenery guaranteed, and hopefully some good weather :sun: ....

We're staying 4 nights at the Hostel International which is located on the outskirts of Saint Vith, Belgium, near the German border.

For on-line bookings etc. visit the HI web site here

If hostels aren't your cup of tea, information regarding other accommodation available in or around Saint Vith can be found here

Depending on the route chosen the distance between Calais and Saint Vith is approximately 230 to 280 miles.

Our travel itinerary for this trip:
Sunday 23rd June: Travelodge Ashford, Kent.
Monday 24th June: Eurotunnel, Folkestone to Calais, 09.20 hours.

Hope it works out Kev :yup:...

If it does, perhaps we could meet up in or near Lauwe around Monday lunchtime?

We were tempted to amend our trip to include the Buell Day BBQ but we've decided to stick with our original plans:

Our travel itinerary for this trip:
Sunday 23rd June: Travelodge Ashford, Kent.
Monday 24th June: Eurotunnel, Folkestone to Calais, 09.20 hours.
Monday 24th to Thursday 27th June: 4 nights based in Saint Vith, Belgium.
Friday 28th June: Eurotunnel, Calais to Folkestone, 17.20 hours.
Friday 28th June: Travelodge Ashford, Kent.

Am off to the Ardennes this bank holiday Monday, staying at Moulin du Ruy at AEAventures, (http://aeaventures.com/index.html). Will be there all next week, riding back on June 1st.

Will also be popping over to see friends at the Nurburgring.

The trip to the Ardennes was great fun. We had a couple of wet days but be rest were dry and sunny.
We even got onto a track day at Spa for the afternoon, 1pm to 6pm, which was open pit lane so no groups. It was awesome, Spa is a great circuit, very grippy and with a 600ft elevation change.
The roads were fantastic all the way into Luxembourg and they were very quiet, not much traffic at all.
Recommended.
