For the fifth consecutive year Black Bear in Newmarket will be hosting UKBEG's Birthday BBQ on Easter Saturday, 30th March. Black Bear web site: here

April 2013 is UKBEG's 15th Birthday so come along and help us celebrate :D......

The showroom will open as usual from 0900-1730, burgers provided by Black Bear are being cooked and served by Jane and myself. They're usually served between 1100-1500.

There will be a "Best Buell" competition with trophies to be awarded at 1600. Hopefully Black Bear will have a limited amount of clothing still available for sale.

The event presents a good opportunity for those travelling from afar to have service work performed while they are there. Book early if you want to do this by calling Andy on 01638 664455.

If there's enough interest there's the possibility of camping Saturday night at a pub located 8 miles from the showroom. Steve will post details in due course.

We're looking forward to it 8-) Always good to fill the forecourt with Buells.

What does everyone think about camping? Last year we took over a local pub with a camp site at the back. A load of our Dutch friends came over and we had a great evening session with about thirty of us in the bar. The majority stayed in hotels, twelve of us camped and we met up for breakfast the next morning then Richie took our visitors on a mystery tour of London.

It wasn't the warmest of nights under canvas and this year Easter is a week earlier. I'm happy to organise it but could do with some feedback as to how many are likely to be up for it.

The floor is open.........have your say :D

Camping was good if a little cold and the Pub was great. But if an alternative to the pub and camping is available then we will definitely be up for it. Are there any alternatives that have B & B and evening entertainment in the local area to Black Bear???
Just a thought

Can see a warmer alternative coming together. All I need is a pub with beer in the centre of Newmarket where we can all talk bollocks and hole up in various hotels around the town.

Can always lock the bikes away in the showroom overnight for those who want to sleep and drink locally. Others like CJ and JJ are more than capable of talking bollocks without the support of alcohol then riding to a hotel a little further away.

I'm not ruling out the possibility of camping just presenting this as another alternative.

Sounds like a plan Steve. Newmarket is a good night out and the cafe next to the clock tower is great for breckie, maybe even better with a bit of warning! .....next stop Ace Cafe then Bucky Palace enz :sun:
