Hahaha......you're right, it doesn't seem like a spirited ride...This was the first time I had registered for the ride and I bottled out due to the crappy weather.
People go absolutely mad for this event and as you say, it is a worthy cause but does seem , ahem, HOG, cruiser, patch, centric. However it does raise much needed cash to maintain this national site.

I'll continue to pay my respects on remembrance Sunday.

I did it last year - never again!
I will attend just not in their convoy. I left Oxford services only to sit in the middle lane doing from 40-65mph totally cutting the outside lane off from being able to get into the inside lane for junctions and basically pissing people off!
I watched a tassle tractor change lanes right in front of a van like it was his god given right!
