S1WL front tyre change today and the caliper was a bitch to get off , more so than my other bikes. Took the grinder to it on refitting.
Is the prolite any bigger than the OEM disc ??
The Front Michelin pilot3 was 10,000miles against two rear ones. Happy with that.
Took 1-1/2 hrs to replace , by the time I remembered where various tools had been moved to.

Good on you, not an easy task in anyone's book. I couldn't bear another week of aching chest & back muscles, so took it over to Maz with my forks. Great decision.
Got a Bead breaker, some excellent tyre levers & plastic rim protectors to stick in the for sales bit soon. I'm never ever doing one again.

I prefer to do my own as they can over torque stuff.
Failed at tubed tyres on tt yam as kept pinching inner tubes. Will have a go on next tubed wheel that needs it though after watching the local bike shop guy.

Nope, Prolite is the same dia as OEM......there's a knack to getting the caliper on/off......which you obviously haven't mastered

The caliper , took a tiny bit off to clear rim of wheel.

Ah right,

I found with mine that you have to line the two grooves in the caliper up with the spokes to get it out, just gives you a little bit more wiggle room, don't know if that's the same on yours.
