I had a set of maxxis on my ccm, best tires for grip i've used.

sorry but they're the worst tyres I've ver put on mine, they squirme and squirel on every white line or smooth bit of tarmac when under load, slow to warm up, skip on up and down changes and at full lean you can feel them crossing up with every gentle feather of the throttle.......un-nerving Still only lasted 2k but they were cheap, so......

I went to replace my Maxxis (Supersports) for exactly the reasons you describe Rich, but was persuaded to try these new ones.
Best tyre I've fitted yet.

Hi Guys,

I have what I think is the predecessor to the SuperMaxx Diamond on my Uly, and I need to change the rear. Front is still good for probably 3000+ miles so not going to change that yet.

Question: Can I fit the new Diamond on the back with the old Supermaxx Radial + I have on the front or are the profiles too different? If they are then I'll have to have an old style back until I wear them both out I guess. Anyone know?

But... if it was me, I would fit one and try it out. If it is rubbish, then I would get the matching one for the front then sell the old front on Begay.

If Maxxis said it would be OK, I would of course believe them, if they said it wasn't I would probably be thinking at the back of my mind that they were trying to get more money out of me.

My Uly runs the original semi nobbly Dunlop with a Qualifier on the back. No complaints with handling and plenty of miles left in the front...
