Please advise what does the SCG code mean?
thanks

Believe it or not the CG stands for Centre of Gravity! The CG is the "Low", the low seat height version, lower suspension front and rear and a lower seat.

What Steve said. Basically a bike for the verticaly challenged - We had one and it was a fantastic bike. Part of me wishes we’d we hadn’t got rid of it. Tubers are better, apparently...

Other than a broken belt the Scg never let us down - still the best starting Buell we’ve had. The X1 is a right pain to start ;)

The SCG was great fun to ride and I still love the look of them. It’s replacement, the SX, is a fab bike but it’s rarity and perceived lack of support is a pain.

the low seat height version, lower suspension front and rear and a lower seat.

I have a better understanding of this, CG makes sense for good handling,
what is the seat height?

I'm 5'11" and the scg in no way feels small because you feel like you sit in it rather than on it.once you raise your feet and get motoring you could be on any size bike.never judge a book by the cover, get out there ride one,and get your elbows down. :old: :rotfl:

Just fit Scg suspenders onto your XB and you’ll have an Scg! 8-) Remember to change the jiffy stand as well or it will fall over! ;)

Haven't seen an SCG available for sale in a while and now they're coming along like buses lOl A customer of mine is looking to sell this one which appears to be tidy and also looking for around £6000. I think the mileage is around 5000 and he has recently brought it back from his home in Spain. I had suggested that he register on here and place an ad in the "For Sale" section after introducing himself in "New Members" but PM me your details if you're interested and I'll put you in touch.

Don't know why the pictures come out on their sides but, if you click on them, you can see them without cricking your neck

Steve
