I bought a wee KTM 390 Duke to put in the toy hauler with my Spitfire, when I get it ;) What a cracking little bike - running it in at the moment and even at reduced revs it's more fun that I ever thought it would be, it's mega light and surprising quick - a great commuting tool.

Build quality seems pretty good, the dash also looks good and changes in different light conditions plus many other amazing things that I'll never use ;)

I forgot how much I enjoyed a single. I learnt to ride on an Armstrong courtesy of Her Majesty many years ago. I think the 690 would be amazing, the R version especially so :yup:

Not really relevant to anything Buell but just felt like I wanted to share :D

Ok, flame away... :rotfl:

Using a small bike to it's full potential is often much more fun than having an excess of power. :old:

Very true. When I had my 1198 Ducati set up with a PC and pipes on a Dyno, the operator told me that it's rare to find a big Sportbike that's had it's throttle opened over 40(ish)%. Although I'm hopelessly in love with my X1, possibly the 'best' bike I've ever ridden in my Welsh playground is my Husqvarna Nuda with a tad over 100bhp. Generally I ride with pals on Blades, R1s etc and I rarely feel underpowered (just lacking in ability lOl )

My 690 SM is ace fun :D

Brilliant down Lancashire and Yorkshire B roads and as fast, if not faster, than a larger bike, plus great over hedge visibility due to the riding position.

My KTM 525 exc with its super moto wheels is just the same, if only I could see some of the sports bike riders faces. The only trouble is I turn into Mr Hyde when I ride it

The 525 is a proper race tool 8-) It's larger cousins don't seem as focused.

When I bought it the SM wheels where thrown in. Just changed them over one day  I just couldn't believe it. A completely different animal, it's only about 50 odd bop. The killer is 120 kg... Just mental. Have snapped a few chains tho... Riding like a twat :D

I’m finding a whole new love for small bikes. Can’t wait to get the CCM Scrambler :yup:

Have you a date yet Clive. A guy at work who ordered the original Spitfire on 14th Feb 17 is getting closer to getting his, I believe with a Plastic Tank initially with the promise of an alloy replacement at some stage in the future.

And in order to get it registered as a non-homologated bike he had to provide his driving licence details too!
