When warmed up the idle goes up to 2-2.5 If I shutdown for a minute it comes right for a few minutes then back to high idle. I have tried TPS reset a few times but the high idle comes back. I've scanned around for a solution and there are many on the interweb from bad fuel to sparkplug problem to cleaning the idle controller at the throttle body etc.

Before I make a start on the steps I am able to do myself, has anyone had this or can advise?

I have a pash dongle for ecm droid, anything I should look for on that (I am less than beginner level on ecmdroid :? )

TIA

I'd start with the simple stuff first. Throttle cable free? Linkage OK. No air leaks at inlet manifolds? etc
Good luck.

I have a few days off next week and would like to get the bike apart to sort out the idle. Maz has advised signs are pointing to the IAC so I am going to get the air-box off and...

Disconnect battery and remove Throttle body then IAC valve.

Clean up with Wynns throttle body cleaner.

Replace o-ring on the actuator. Torque it all back up and hope for the best ;)

I am sure it is a small job for most of you but in my cramped area and limited experience, it is not.
So, am I missing anything?

Also, can anyone advise o-ring size before I start and is wynns best for this or is there a more specific IAC cleaner I should be using.

Cheers
N
