I decided that painting the bathroom could wait today and decided to give the old bike a spruce up .
I used the old Harpic trick on the pipes and side casings and wow what a result !!

If I can secure NOVA approval and register the bike , then for the MOt I need new tyres , after which I'll do a full lube service with plugs and filters , along with the replacement Spondon engine brackets and that's me done for the time being . My main aim is to keep it as standard as I can without compromising on safety and rudimentary reliability. It will never be a replacement for my BMW K1200S sports tourer , but a nice Sunday morning alternative for local ride outs - I'm keen to get it sorted , fingers crossed and many thanks for all the support you provide - great forum this is

Those rear hugger, mudguard, number plate holders look gash. If you need a hugger there are smaller ones and moving the reg plate under the tail is a happier place.

Take off hugger and put on shelf.
Construct a piece of metal to hang number plate on under light.

You can find a piece of stainless plate here to make a rear Number plate bracket.

All the best Greenson, looks like a nice bike.
