I'm guessing that's just a preference?
I've made four or five and used 1mm stainless plate as it looks better for a lot longer & needs much less attention once fitted. Of course it's more difficult to work & shape in the first place and I use stainless bolts to fix it in place, which of course is another preference of mine.
Horses for courses.

Give it another 12 months and you may realise that yours is powered by Rotax

so does that mean you can use stainless steel metal to make brackets for Rotax power ones :couch:

Only if you fit them with A2 stainless bolts, so that they shear before the bracket does :rotfl:

Just as a matter of interest & I did this with the stainless bolt argument also.

Anyone got any evidence that a Stainless tail tidy has snapped or is it just imaginings?

Don't know about number plate hangers, however I have been through my fair share of stainless exhaust hangers. :sad1: :sad1: :couch:

"Well it was there when I last checked, Officer, the stainless bracket it was screwed to must have snapped clean off, again" ...is a very commonly used defence.

Yeah, that isn't what I asked for is it?
Evidence of a broken stainless tail tidy was what I asked for.
The video doesn't really mean anything as the stroke of a Buell engine wouldn't be hitting in the middle of a sheet either.

The truth is guys, what I'm beginning to see is that some of you are stuck in standard mode, I'm fine with that, but when it comes to critiquing with your imagination running away with you, whilst in the realms of what may, might, could, if & all of that useless procrastinating bollocks, just leave me out of it, as it ain't real is it? It's your F****n' imagination.
I always get asked for evidence of things I've done and always provide them when asked, please have the courtesy to do the same, otherwise it's just meaningless bluster.

Talking of evidence, this is what I think to Buell standard bolts & brackets. Where's the bin?
