Hi Folks,
Just realised that the rear slave cylinder on my 1125r has totally seized.
It isn't the caliper itself I've had that off & it's fine. It's the actual slave on the brake pedal that's gone solid, as in cannot be pressed on.
I'm reckoning it needs taking apart & freeing off. Anyone done this, any pitfalls identified.
Thinking I may just buy another one off a Honda or something & fit that rather than strip the original & do the seals ect. Has anyone tried this?
Don't use this brake that much, or thought I didn't until I sussed it wasn't working, now I realise I used it quite a lot.
Thanks Folks Paul.

Forget that last post, I've just bought an XB one.
I'll make that fit & rebuild the old one when I've got time.
Thanks anyway. Paul.

Make sure the correct type fluid is /has been used. So many places will happily sell you dot 5.1 when you ask for 5 . Not sure what type you require. Had this last week and had to visit Shaws Harley for dot 5 for tubeframed bike.

Thanks for that info. Maz also told me about the dot 5 after I bought some front brake pads from him so already got it ready.

Thanks Maz,
I remember your advice, 5.1 is what I got for the front brake, still got half left.
