Last summer I modified a silencer from a newer Buell and fitted it to my S1. I got all the replies about me not having a front mount and the band snapping, so I have lengthened the pipe and shortened the silencer. I have fitted a lug which lines up with the dogbone and made ferrels on my lathe so there is zero stress , I also done away with the rear band and got a bracket welded straight onto the outlet pipe, again fitted with zero stress , does this setup no look OK or will I need to fit some sort of isolator on my rear mount?

I'd get a band on the rear because that strap will snap

Could you elaborate on why my front mount will snap please as I based it on the vance and hines exhaust, like this one and followed instructions from my previous mistakes , I am finding more and more on this site and many others , people seem to find faults with your work but seem to be a bit lacking on the solutions.

Front fixing on V&H break at the tab weld to elbow ,the rear fractures at the weld to the skin of the silencer body or tear the captives out .
