I know from previous experience on various other forums there is no definitve answer to oil questions in fact its unusual to even get 2 people to agree on oil. My question is I have noticed on other forums a lot of people seem to think that the mobil one vee twin oil is the best oil to use on Buells and Harleys in all 3 places, I have used the Harley mineral oil as recommended over the Summer doing about 2000 miles, what is the opinions on changing to the fully synthetic oil from mineral oil, any problems ? any advantages?

....and even though it's rated at 20/50 it gets piss thin when hot and the hydraulic lifters don't like it, they bleed down resulting in more top end noise.....I can always tell a bike running full synth when they pull up outside my shop !

So Better just to stick with the Harley stuff then , my bike has run great all summer with it.

When my air cooled Citroen was getting to a high mileage, a mechanic recommended Valvoline refined mineral 20/50 Racing Oil, which by coincidence is suitable for some Harley Davidsons. Not sure which Harleys that means though! :?
