I finally got the finger out and got a new early type brembo rear caliper for the 1125.
Has anyone done a ''how to'' for fitting them that i have missed?

Aw man, not the best of weekends for me this one. Bought a few calipers, one grey (was planning on a surprise for sillyb) and one of a new design I wanted to try with a different bracket.

The grey one was in appalling condition, the bleed nipple sheared off on trying to remove it, even with heat applied. I tried to get it out with a posh Snap On screw extractor and it broke the caliper casting.

If the bleed nipple shears off, so long as it still seals, you can leave it in place and replace the banjo bolt for a banjo with bleed nipple. Loads available on the bay for sub £5 each. Saves breaking castings.

I've fitted the crappier and been using it last 100-200 miles but it squeals something shocking once it's been used a couple of times. Disc and pads look fine but going to turf the pads for better ones.
What's the difference between the etc by sintered v Brembo red ones for an extra 5er?
Cheers

EBC HH are as good as you need.

Have you got an anti rattle clip installed?

Did you strip the caliper and clean the pistons, seals and seal grooves?

I normally strip and overhaul before fitting and have not had this problem.

Cheers pash, ill get those ordered up.

I take it the anti rattle clip is the bit of metal that goes across the top, yeah it's there.

It was a brand spanking new caliper so didn't strip it.

Cheers

It maybe that you just need to use the brake a bit more...

I thought that too so I added copper grease to back of pad and went a few good runs with plenty of rear brake action and still it continues to make the worst noise known to man
