Hi
I’m new to the site and was hoping for any information on the APH performance exhaust and it’s suitability for fitting to a 2006 Buell Ulysses.
Many thanks
Linley

I put one on my '06 Uly.

What do you have now?

Currently it is running an original exhaust. It is in really good condition so I’m in a quandary whether to replace it or not.

That being said APH are top quality and probably give a few more horses, I have a full system on my bike

As Gus says the standard will be fine if its in good condition...

But the APH looks great and I really like the sound it puts out, makes me smile more than the standard did. Tough decision but if you're keeping the bike a stainless setup is a good investment, amongst other things.

Thanks Kiwi
That is a fab looking bike and the same colour as mine.
Did you have to make any changes to the ECM after fitting it and how does it feel re. low down torque, acceleration and noise levels?
Hwyl

Not really, I used it for a week or so and then the mighty Pash offered to help reduce/remove the slight popping at deceleration. He cut a bit of the fueling at throttle off with electric wizardry. I would guess you should try it with your current map, if you're not happy then there may be help from yoda for a small contribution. You'll need to speak to him, you could even try my map if you're good with stuff like that. Try the existing map first me thinks

It's louder than original of course but not obscene, sounds quality and at 4k or more through the range it sounds mean as I struggle to keep the front wheel down through the gears... My opinion of course but the comments are good and reactions are surprised. Nothing like the 1125, that's bordering on obscene through the rev range. ..but I like that 😉

Things have gone downhill since the internet... Bring back OS... Grid to Mag - add, Mag to Grid - get rid...

Thanks lads
I’ve finished procrastinating and just ordered the silencer from APH.
We’ll see how it goes and I may be in need of some assistance from you guys shortly.
Would it be worthwhile buying a Buelltooth to facilitate any changes that will need to be made to the map?
Regards
Linley

Good purchase!

I think the consensus is that Buelltooth is out and ECMspy is in...Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Buelltooth is only a bluetooth dongle to connect wirelessly to the ECM , You can make your own dongle and then use it with ecmspy OR ecmdroid on an android device. The indtructions are on UkBeg somewhere showing how to make one or you can just use a cable to connect which is probably the best way if you are fiddling with maps etc 8-)
