Holy lord, will this never end? :headbang: :headbang:

Got stranded with a dead battery today, 40 mls from home. Connector 77 (Vreg DC out) melted. Fortunately a buelling mate could provide me with a fresh battery that I come home again.

Now, how to proceed? I googled around, but apparently no way to get those Packard plugs here, and if, they are rated 10 amps only, which is way to low. I read that the new Vregs got improved connectors, so of what type are these?

I already have some weatherpack single pin connectors (like those for the O2 sensor), but these are rated 20 amps only, the generator is to deliver 30+ mps max. The gauges are AWG 10 (~ 9.5 mm^2) and seem much to large to fit my connectors. I'm currently trying to get some Deutsch DTHD plugs, these are rated 60 amps max and have suitable pins/terminals.

Gunter, they are Packard Metri-Pack Sealed 480 connectors.

This website has pictures & part numbers so you can see the ratings / wire gauges etc.

PM sent.

Or here :

It's the shop where I buy my Deutsch connectors.
