Hi, just bought this S3 that was on Ebay. I went to see this it before xmas when it was on Ebay as it was only 10 miles from me. The Ebay pics looked terrible, cushions piled on top of it, snapped indicators and the rest of the pics blurry and ill judged. When I saw it the guy uncovered it and fired it up and it was just fine, it was on a trickle charger with the seat loose which made the pics look even worse. I lowballed him and didn't bid, it got no bids and he didn't take my offer.
Anyway, it came on a week ago at the same starting bid £3K and got a bid...1 minute to go and I bid £3100, so now it's mine.
I own a Buell engine special but this is my first foray into ownership proper so a couple of questions.

I'd like to fit a stock airbox, found a back plate and cover available, how many other parts needed? pics, diagram?

I plan to service pretty much everything, it's done 22K miles so fork seals, brake caliper service etc etc, who/where can I get the parts from?

Thanks in advance. Posting pics does not look that simple but I will at some point.

Congratulations...

Airbox parts are easiest to identify from the parts books. I don’t have one for an S3, but TwinMotorcycles have a useful set of pages. I think I have an S1 airbox somewhere so if the parts are the same let me know.

Fork seals... You have the Showas... You can get oil (45875-84A) and dust seals (J8130.02A8) from Riders if Bristol, ask for your 13% discount for UKBEG... The replacement of dust seals is under rated... Caliper seals the same (H0020.FA)...
