Hi,

Please forgive and be kind if this is a dumb question.

but i am after an XB12r and wondered (as they are a lot cheaper), can you strip down a Ulysses and make it look more like a XB12R or S ?

what i am talking about is removing the screen, hand guards, big mirrors and tail end. Replace with a smaller seat etc.

can they be lowered suspension wise bearing in mind it is the same seat height as a GS @ 841mm

and the bonus would be a better fuel capacity and pretty much double range :shock:

is it too much to piss about with or an easy realistic option

What was the place that used to sell Buell bits, Twin Shack? Forgot the other name.

They used to race a Firebolt, but it was actually a Uly frame.

I think the only challenge will be making the subframe fit. I have a spare one if you’d like to help fund my tax and MOT... Saying that maybe I should sell my 12R...

lol once i spelt it right i found it lOl

really interesting thread where the fella replaces the complete Uly subfrabe with that of an S
