I found this thread through a search...interesting opinions.
I've been looking for some EBC front pads for my 2005 XB12X but could only find pads for 2006-on models.
What's the difference?
Anyone recommend a supplier?
Cheers,
Gary B

The XB pads are the same from 2002 up to 2008. In 2009 the XB12S, XB12Scg and XB9SX got the 8 piston caliper off the 1125. In 2010 the XB12SX was introduced and used this caliper.

Your XB12X was introduced in 2006, so although it may be registered in 2005, it is a 2006 model year.

These are the cheapest I could find for you:

Pash, thanks for the enlightenment!
I'll be getting those pads this week, mine are really low and a replacement disc/rotor looks like something to be avoided!

Cheers,

Interestingly I had deposits on my EBR 5mm disc from using Braking pads. I got to it with Scotchbrite and brake cleaner which helped a little, but fitting Goldfren skimmed the crap off the disc.... Not as good as Braking but great for disc cleaning...
