is it just me that thinks all this computerised bike onboard brain stuff is bollocks :?:

Needing a lap top to sort a bike isn't much fun when you're stranded.... oh for the days when you set your timing with a Rizla paper....... ;)

But then again, what do I know about bikes....... :?: :(

:yt: and a piece of rizla packet doubled up for the plug gap.

Cheers, Richard. :old:

Yes, and mute the error reporting. See the How To. I may even update it for 08/09/10 bikes...

Thanks Pash...mine is an 08 bike ..

Just received my cable from Mike at Xopti..

Now I'm confused..I emailed Gunter for a copy of ecmspy and he replied there is no version of ecmspy for >08 models..

So, the question is, what do you want to do with ECMSpy?

There are plenty of solutions...

Go here - http://www.ecmspy.com/download.shtml - and download ECMRead

Then go here - http://www.tunerpro.net/downloadApp.htm - and download TunerPro

Back in a bit...

And get yourself Mono Runtime Environment here - http://www.go-mono.com/mono-downloads/download.html - otherwise ECMRead wont work...

Using your cable, use ECMRead to get your EEPROM data...

I am at work and have no access to it at the moment, so you are going to have to try and figure out how to get it working.

Cool, so that means you have a BUEYD firmware.

For that firmware, go here - http://www.ecmspy.com/cgi-bin/ecm.cgi?ecm=89 - and export the TunerPro V4 Bin-Definition to you machine.

Then, start TunerPro up, open the XDF file (I can't see TunerPro from here but I think it is the second menu item along from the left), then open the binary file (first menu item - in the dialogue box to open the file, make sure you select the *.*), BUEYDOL 403-20-08.xpr.

Then, you will see all the tables and constants int he windows on the left...

Let us know when you get that far...

Ok I loaded the xdf files from Ecmspy into tuner-pro for my version of firmware.. then clicked on file/open bin then found the xpr files I downloaded from my eprom..these files are [I hope!] now showing in the left hand column of the Tuner-pro application.. :ill:

So you wanted to:

And Improve idle and get the engine to run smoothly..like yours maybe!

So lets start with the first issue; in the Flags/Switches window, scroll down till you find Error Mask Byte 4: AMCxxx

Double click all the AMC related ones and untick the tick box...

Then Save Bin As.... under a different name...

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR ORIGINAL EEPROM CONTENT SAVED SOMEWHERE SAFE

Since we are doing one thing at a time, use ECMRead to burn the EEPROM content back to your ECM...
