Nice tribute there from Bernie. I saw him live a few months ago and half of the show was a bit of a nostalgia and chat show. He talked a lot about Peter Green, they were obviously close mates with a shared passion for what they did 8-)

That explained why Deep Tracks on SiriusXM changed to the Fleetwood tribute channel for the whole weekend.

Had a guitar teacher in Beaconsfield who used Albatross as a means to teach me my lessons one week. Up till then, the only FM I knew of was the Buckingham/Nicks stuff. Bob Welch era never even existed in the states and most Americans still have no clue about him.

I'm sure I own pretty much everything he ever engineered. RIP Headmaster.

Trinny Lopez Now I realise why he only had a small part in The Dirty Dozen

When I was a few years into playing guitar in 1983, I came across his name in Guitar World magazine because such and such player(s) interviewed therein were influenced by him supposedly, how true I don't know because I heard no classical influence in their playing. Was at a play with my parents and saw his name advertised on the side of one of the buildings and asked if we could go. Dad worked between Marleybone and Baker St. stations, so after work he took me to Wigmore Hall to see him a couple months later.

Then, I never understood how overlooked classical guitarists were, the masses preferring large orchestras if they're going to see that sort of thing. Such people are keeping it alive thanks to social media now and some severely talented and pretty eastern European ladies. If it weren't for it, this kind of music may have died a decade ago.
