Matt on the site was doing a bulk buy (advertised on Facebook) so I got him to get me a load for me and all.

What are they? They are a mechanical locking nut with a lead coating.

How do they lock? The hole is pressed into a triangular shape which gives the nut a bit of friction and stops them coming undone as a result of vibration

What's the crack with the lead coating? They will resist corrosion on the thread

Are they any good? We use them on our engines at work from Eurofighter to A380.

It's a great excuse to swap the nuts over before the stock ones seize and cause problems.

I have 24 coming, I want 8 myself, so that is 16 left or 4 bikes worth...

Matt secured a deal of a pound each, so if you want a set I'll post them in a new Jiffy bag for the princely sum of £5.25

I can get them from work for free. I thought you might have some comparative opinions. I have some flanged Stovers on my headers. We use UNC at work but the supplier floated 4 samples of UNF my way. The nut is almost too high to work properly but it makes it. The stud is about a 1/2 thread beyond the nut. :ill:
