I agree Maxx.

I am trying to reduce my bikes from 7 to 3 but instead I'm reluctant to let any go and keep seeing new ones. Maybe OF is right, I should move into the garage and convert the house.

Wasn't exactly the suggestion but is an option I suppose......however, I am a bit puzzled as to how you are out of space with only 7 bikes ..... :?

As an owner of a X1 myself and having it fully sorted by :maz: with all the bills since buying it stands me at £18,700. :o
So to buy a sorted X1 to the quality of Cooters is well worth the money he wants.
Good luck with the sale hope it stays around for years to come :)

:yt: .......and I've built loads over the years that've cost in excess of 12K......if I was ever to offer my own X1 up for sale (wont happen) I'd want at least 10K for it

What never ceases to amaze me is how happy people are to pay top dollar for a "project" which effectively wants thousands spending on them, in other words shitters but can't wait to slag someone off who is selling a fully sorted, near perfect example of the bike they want.

If I was in the market for an X1 I would snap your hand off, I think its on the button price wise, good luck with your sale.

These things are an absolute money pit!

I bought a shitter (beer and ebay) and I´ve spent more than what the bike cost just to get it in reasonable fettle, and I´ve done all the work myself.
It´ll still need stripping to powder coat the frame. I recon it´ll be the wrong side of 10K when it´s done.
Mind you, it doesn't help the budget buying parts from TM

I'd give 7k for a sorted X1 if I knew what the spend was going to be to get to where mine is.
Cheap at half that price in my book.

I think muffin was something like £7900 new in 2001 If I remember correctly, that was £7500 for the standard X1 but the blue wheels and frame were £300 extra and then £100 for a scorpion can.
