Post subject:  X1 1999 valuation

This is my Fathers X1 that is going up for sale as changes in his lifestyle is causing him to part with this (beautiful) Bike.

20089 miles on the clock - Im not sure what is new on it and what is not, i was just wandering the kind of value this bike has in the market. new tyres and new belt, non-standard exhaust. thats about as much as i can honestly say without guessing.

pictures to follow.

MOT & a clean up £2000 maybe £2500
looks like a 2001 year model :?: (mine is on a Y reg but is a 2001 model)
they have some upgrades over the earlier model

TBH you would be better off buying the X1 from yer Dad
a better bike long term , easier to fix an getting rarer too

not particularly sure tbh, would have to check the papers to be sure. to be honest i got the reg and went online to see what the old regs meant so as it was a 't' reg, 1999 i put XD

Keep it in the family. They're making strong money at the mo, and they'll be getting rarer.
I bought my bog standard 2001 X1 just before Christmas for 2,995, and I haven't seen one go cheaper since.
I've seen really nice ones with all the good bits advertised for over 4k, although whether they get it is another matter.
Don't want to be rude, but that one could do with a tidy up. (rusty screw heads for example)
If he really has to sell it, I'd say put it up for 2,995 and see.
But I'd say come to an arrangement with your Dad. It will be an investment if you look after it.
