But without the V5 it will be worthless because it's vin number is allocated to that V5 :? or are you dishonestly using it's V5 to another frame ;)

yes i'm going to be dishonest if you want to put it like that. just don't want to do the sva test as i'm building a frame from scratch. as for the stripes not sure weather to do vertical or horizontal i herd one of them makes you look fat

Im not very clued up on V5's and frame numbers but surely if you're hand making a frame then using the XB documents for it ... its not an XB frame anymore. Any insurance bod who needed to look at it would tell its not an XB!?

Don't you have to have the original frame OR engine to register a bike to that Vin number ????? because if you sell that frame on and the number is already registered to another bike then chances are the bike would be confiscated as a suspected ringer?

most of the other parts are xb ie engine wheels forks and your aloud to change any of these parts and your also aloud to chop customise or convert these parts without the need to inform anybody. if i had a suzuki bandit say i could chop it to such an extent that it would look nothing like abandit any more this is how a lot of custom bikes are built by buying a doner bike.

I still don't see how you can resell the frame afterwards though, cos you'll be using the VIN number :?:

Yep but if the engine did not come from the bike that the V5 belongs to and you have used no part of the original frame that the V5 belongs to then the numbers do not match up.

You can reshell an MG car and keep it's original registration number but there is a certain amount of the ORIGNAL vehicle that has to be reused to make it legal.

i will leave number on frame so buyer can see it's not stolen then remove it. if someone has a damaged frame they can put there own number on it. the engine number on v5 will be changed to the xb motor have in my garage which i am aloud to do. so to all intense purposes i have a xb9 the i have converted.
