I am Looking possibly to part exchange my Buell Ulysses XB12XP (Special Duty) 2009 Motorcycle for a BMW R1200GS Tripple Black.

As this Buell is one of the rarest Buell models with only approximately 137 manufactured in its 2 year production I can't decide if to keep it or not.

It has been a fantastic motorcycle which I have owned since March 2012 and purchased for occasional pleasure and commuting use mainly in dry weather. My interest now lies in travelling (already been around Europe, across America, Arctic Circle, Iceland etc.), but now I want to go off road further a field and also my garage is getting full.

The sale price of Buells, especially rare ones are on the rise, I am looking at a part exchange deal from the BMW dealership but they don't know at the moment what to offer and I don't know what to ask for, Does any one know what deal I should be asking for part exchange. ?

Serviced at 5k by Harley Davidson Dealership in March 2012.
Serviced at 10k by Harley Davidson Dealership (Including Fork Oil Replaced) in January 2013.
New H-D Battery, K&N Hi-Flow filter, Rear Tyre & Drive Belt Fitted in last 6 Months.

Hard to put a price on rarer bikes that don't sell that often, not sure if it would be worth more or less than a standard Ulysses. You can guarantee though you'll get nothing for it in part-ex, better off selling it to an enthusiast if you can.

I would rather travel on the BMW as getting spares would not be such an issue in other areas of the world.
