Jesus what the hell do you do for that send an exchange bike

A main dealer would do it much cheaper.....they charge over twice my labour rate plus vat......so it doesn't take a mathematician to work out who is doing the job correctly

Service takes around 2 1/2 days and includes wheel bearings changed (if required, which usually means yes) swingarm bearings, steering head bearings, forks rebuilt (including correct grade oil for riders weight) engine dropped out of frame for front plug change and tappet shim adjustment, brake fluid change, etc. etc........you pays your money and takes ya choice

Maz, have you ever seen "in the flesh" so to speak a speed of colour cup fairing on one of these bikes, ate they a good fit, and of good quality? I think they look awesome in the pictures but for the price was wondering if they're a bit cheap!

Sorry but have trouble getting my head around this! What are all these components made of cheese???? Replace swing arm bearings and rebuild forks, at 12k some sort of joke that I can't see the funny side of.

Sounds reasonable to me. Any forks will benefit from a service at 12k miles. K Tech recommend fork and shock service at 20hrs
It would be silly not to replace the steering yoke bearings while the forks are off, and if the bearings aren't shagged, they probably are well on their way
The 1125 is a fast bike, I really wouldn't risk the wheel bearings for more than 3k miles (which is why Erik redesigned the 2010 wheel to take an extra bearing in the rear)

You would have thought our mate Eric could have put larger wheel bearing in to start with after all he has had enough practice putting Inadequate size bearing in for years.
I was not knocking Maz work or rates at all but where do you stop is the average owner going to notice any real benefit from a total fork rebuild service at 12k I think not, and I am sure K Tech recommend a service every 20hrs they are in that business, If I were them I even might reduce it down to 15hrs you can never be to careful.

x2 this applies to any bike (Showas are fitted to many bikes) - just look at the sludge and crap that comes out of them.
