Up for grabs, a single HID system, H3 fitting, suits Firebolt.

Slimline controller unit

Three spare bulbs.

Ideal for installation on dip beam - you will never need high beam again...

£25 inc postage.

How do you guy go for longevity of the reflectors with HIDs installed? I got about 6 months, with the light gradually getting worse, before I pulled the lights apart and found the heat from the HID bulb had melted all the chroming from the reflector near the bulb.

I've put a pair of Hella Bi-Halogens on now.

HID give off far less heat than halogen lamps ...so i'd bet it wasn't heat that damaged the reflector.

That is a bargain price Pash and if I didn't already have two spare sets I would have snapped your hand off ;) ................ I have one in the projector light on Muffin and the light output is amazing and like Pash says you never need to even use main beam with one of these fitted . Also the only time I have been flashed due to it was when the I was fully loaded two up with a knackered rear shock causing the light to be too high ;)

Sorry! Truth be told, I don't know that it was the HID that caused it. I had normal bulbs in it for years first, before going to the HID in the search for more light. The lights were already replaced under the XB-R recall, but had still seen a lot of use. They might have been on their way out anyway.

Plenty of stories of the reflectors losing their chrome from standard bulbs.

Hello pash

Should have mentioned the awful firebolt lights when we met on sunday, and made the purchase there and then.

So please put up a sold sold sold notice.

Steve
